One-time preservation of your organization's irreplaceable original media.
Not a DAM. Not backup. Not cloud storage.
A permanent authenticated record of the masters your organization cannot afford to lose. We establish the authenticated master record from which your organization can preserve, reproduce, license, exhibit, publish, and verify its media.
Assess My ArchiveOrganizations accumulate photographs, video, scans, recordings, documents, and other original media. Over time they still have files. What they often no longer have is certainty about which files are authoritative.
Once the original files, devices, software, or institutional context disappear, reconstruction becomes difficult or impossible. Working copies proliferate. The master becomes ambiguous.
The Authenticated Master Archive creates a controlled, authenticated preservation copy of those assets and establishes it as the organization's authoritative master record.
Nobody decides to destroy the archive. It happens through ordinary operations.
A photographer leaves. A server is replaced. A production drive fails. A cloud account is closed. A publisher migrates DAM systems. A museum changes collection software.
A tourism organization discovers that its “original” photograph is actually a JPEG exported from a JPEG. A historic scan survives — but nobody can determine which version was the original.
The organization still has files. It has simply lost certainty about which files matter.
Original media is collected without altering the source.
Each master receives a Provision1 embedded authentication record. Cryptographic identity and preservation event are established.
The authenticated masters are placed into a controlled package designed to remain authoritative independently of ordinary production and distribution systems.
At the completion of the project, the organization receives an Authenticated Master Package.
The organization owns the resulting archive and retains the authenticated master media.
Each master carries its Provision1 authentication record. The organization also receives an independent, air-gapped verification application capable of validating the authentication state of preserved assets without contacting Provision1 or relying on a cloud service.
No subscription. No proprietary cloud. No hosted verification dependency.
Each asset is independently verifiable. The customer does not need to contact Provision1 to verify an authenticated master.
The embedded authentication record is designed to remain recoverable from authenticated media even after ordinary downstream transformations such as compression, resizing, cropping, and format conversion.
For every preserved master, the archive can establish:
This establishes an authenticated preservation record. It does not, by itself, prove historical authorship or legal ownership.
Per-asset: The Provision1 embedded authentication record identifies the authenticated master.
Per-archive: The Archive-level Preservation Certificate documents the completed preservation event—date, identified assets, and procedure.
The authenticated master is the product. The archive is the container in which that authenticated record is preserved.

The full package includes the Archive-level Preservation Certificate, complete asset manifest with per-asset authentication records, and the air-gapped verification application for independent confirmation.
Every archive is scoped according to asset volume, condition, and ingest complexity.
Modern media increasingly passes through cameras, phones, editing systems, AI tools, DAMs, social platforms, cloud storage, and automated distribution systems. The original is getting harder to identify.
Provenance technologies such as C2PA are making origin and modification history increasingly important. Capture provenance can tell you where a file came from.
Master preservation establishes which file your organization has chosen to preserve as authoritative.
As provenance standards mature for working assets, the absence of an institutional master becomes more visible—not less.
Because the archive should not become another system you have to maintain—and verification should not depend on us remaining available.
Provision1 establishes the authenticated master record and delivers the preservation package, including the means to verify it independently.
Send a simple inventory. We will tell you what an authenticated master archive would require.
